Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Gifts In Seller Tools handles information during the private developer-preview phase.

The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

1. Controller and Contact

Gifts In Seller Tools is operated by Gifts In LLC. For privacy questions, contact privacy@gifts-in.com. For technical developer questions, contact developers@gifts-in.com.

2. Data We Collect Directly

During the personal access phase, we may collect contact details, support messages, authorized tester information, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the site.

3. Etsy Data Accessed Through OAuth

After Etsy API approval and user authorization, the application may access approved Etsy Open API data only through OAuth 2.0. Initial planned categories are shop profile and metadata, listing metadata and status, order and fulfillment information only if the approved scope is used, and OAuth tokens needed to maintain authorized access.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect Etsy passwords.
  • We do not request buyer email access during the personal access phase.
  • We do not collect payment card numbers.
  • We do not collect Etsy data through screen scraping.

5. How We Use Data

We use information to test shop operations dashboards, listing and inventory workflows, order and fulfillment workflows, security controls, support responses, and compliance with Etsy API requirements.

6. Sharing

We do not sell Etsy member data. We do not share Etsy member data with advertising platforms. Limited service providers may process data only as needed for hosting, email, logging, security, and support.

7. Retention and Deletion

OAuth tokens are deleted when a user disconnects the application or requests deletion. Cached Etsy data is kept only as long as needed for authorized testing and operational integrity. Users may request deletion at Data Deletion.

8. Security

The application is designed to use HTTPS, encrypted token storage, least-privilege access, restricted administrative access, logging, and monitoring. See Security for details.

9. Incident Response

If Etsy member data is compromised, Gifts In LLC will investigate promptly and notify Etsy and affected sellers as required.

10. Translation

Chinese translation is provided for convenience. If there is a conflict between translations, the English version controls.
